Vanessa McLeod

After living interstate and abroad for several decades, Vanessa moved to East Gippsland with her two sons ten years ago. She is currently a District Business Manager with the Country Fire Authority and supports East Gippsland’s 1400 volunteer members. Through her work with CFA Vanessa has built up in- depth knowledge of many East Gippsland communities.

Vanessa brings with her extensive experience in marketing, stakeholder management, and business planning and development from a variety of sectors including international banking, not-for-profit, and government.

Vanessa also has a keen interest in the environment and sustainable development. She has recently built an off-grid home in the hills of Ellaswood for her family that is based on passive design principles. With two active boys, Vanessa has been involved in a number of local sporting committees and is a proud graduate of the Gippsland Community Leadership Program.
