Meet Finn, recently joining EGMI Team in 2025.
Finn Smits has proudly called East Gippsland home since 2000, having had the privilege of growing up in this remarkable part of the world. Over the years, he has witnessed the region’s growth and transformation — with businesses emerging and evolving, communities adapting, and the landscape continuing to inspire.

Before joining EGMi, Finn worked as an IT Manager at a local school, where he gained valuable experience in technology management and community engagement. This background has helped shape his practical and forward-thinking approach in his current role.

Finn is deeply passionate about helping more people discover everything East Gippsland has to offer. From its stunning coastline to its expansive bushland, he believes there is so much to experience and enjoy. His focus is especially on supporting local tourism and bringing greater attention to the area. Finn's vision is to see East Gippsland become a standout destination and the talk of Australia.

Outside of work, Finn enjoys graphic design, travel, and photography — creative pursuits that align closely with his passion for showcasing the beauty and potential of the region.
