Over the past 2 years, businesses in East Gippsland have relied on local support more than ever.
With COVID restrictions easing, but lots of uncertainty remaining, this Christmas we are asking East Gippsland locals to continue to support local business.
East Gippsland Shire, supported by East Gippsland Marketing Inc have created a Love where you Live marketing campaign, encompassing Celebrate Local, Support Local, Explore Local, Employ Local and Spend Local.
To kick off the campaign, when East Gippsland locals purchase a product valued over $50 from an East Gippsland locally owned and located business during December, they go into the draw to win one of 12 x $1000 vouchers. The campaign begins from November 22nd 2021 with radio and social media and will roll out across East Gippsland with stickers, bags and other merchandise available for businesses.
The purpose of the campaign is to encourage residents to support local businesses, to stay locally this Christmas period and for businesses to stock local makers and suppliers.
East Gippsland Marketing Managers Hayley Hardy says “While the past two years have been difficult, we know that this coming six months is very uncertain and we want all our locals to support local businesses, invest locally and explore our region. Let’s make sure we continue to see positive change.”
