Meet our Executive Officer Liz, a Gippsland local with a passion for her community and a diverse career in marketing, PR, and events spanning over 25 years. She's worked in regional tourism, local government, and small businesses, and has even spent two years living and working in Saudi Arabia, bringing a unique perspective to growth and development within the tourism industry.

Liz's love for people and travel has led her to incredible life experiences at home and abroad. Her journey includes living and working in an Indigenous community in Central Australia, nannying in Switzerland and Italy, caring for elephants in Thailand, writing for a Middle Eastern magazine, working in a pub in England, and leading students on immersive trips to northern Victoria and the Northern Territory. Through her experiences, Liz has gained valuable insights into different cultures and ways of life, broadening her perspective on the world. Her passion for people has led her to connect deeply with those she meets along her travels, creating meaningful and lasting relationships with people from diverse backgrounds.

Liz founded Badger & Hare Cafe in Stratford, a small business that she successfully navigated through the challenges of the Covid-19 lockdowns. This experience has equipped her with tried and true ways to handle dynamic situations with grace and ease. With her wealth of experience and expertise, Liz is excited to contribute to the growth and development of the stunning Gippsland region.
